Coach Sam Johnson comes to Hero’s with more than 6 years of coaching experience. Sam has experience coaching various levels and age groups in both lacrosse and basketball.  Sam has played lacrosse most of his life.  While at Pfeiffer University he was a 4-year starter and a USILA All-American and Academic All American.  Sam continues to play lacrosse in various leagues and summer tournaments.

Sam is firm believer in youth sports and the lessons our children learn from competitive sports environments.

Off the field, Sam and his wife Tara live in the Urbana area and have 2 Daughters (Cameron & Colby). When they find time, they like doing any outdoor activity with their kids!
