Lauren McDonald was an Attacker for UMBC. During her time at UMBC, Lauren earned America East All-Conference Second Team honors (2018 & 2019), All-Academic Team honors (2017- 2019), was ranked first all time for most goals in a single season (62) at UMBC, and ranked 4th in the America East and 8th in the NCAA in goals per game (3.65). In her career at UMBC, she scored 133 goals and collected 155 points. She was named UMBC’s Matt Skalsky Outstanding Scholar Athlete (2018) and one of two Outstanding Female Senior Athletes (2019).
Lauren earned her degree in Environmental Science in 2018. In 2019, she went on to pursue her Master’s in Environmental Science and graduated in December 2021. She currently works as an Ecologist for the U.S. Army Corp of Engineers in Baltimore focusing on National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation.
Lauren was a 4 year variety starter for the Catonsville High School girls lacrosse team and earned first team all county honors while also lettering in soccer and basketball all four years. She
was a member of the Hero's 2015 Green team alongside fellow 2029 Green Coach, Kayla Renehan.
Fun fact: Lauren was a youth Under Armour model at age 10. Her favorite part of modeling was getting free clothes. She was also featured as an extra in Transformers 2, but you’ll have to pull out the magnifying glass if you want to see her!
