Megan (Kelly) Walter 2032 White Head Coach 


Coach Megan Walter comes to Hero’s after playing both lacrosse and field hockey at the University of Maryland from 1998-2002 where she was a four year letter winner in both sports.  She continues to share her passion for the game by coaching the Hero’s 2032 White team.  


Coach Megan grew up in Gaithersburg, MD and attended Holton-Arms School in Bethesda where she earned All-Met, All-County, and All-ISL honors. She still resides in Gaithersburg with her husband (Christian), her son (Florian), and her daughter (Louisa) who also plays for the Hero’s 2032 White team.  She enjoys golf, Crossfit, skiing, tennis, and she has been known to compete in Masters’  Olympic Weightlifting competitions from time to time.  


Athletic Resume:


  • ​​Four Year dual-sport athlete and letter winner at University of Maryland: Field Hockey and Lacrosse (1998-2002)
  • NCAA Championships: 4 Total. Lacrosse 1999, 2000, 2001. Field Hockey 1999.
  • ACC Championships: 7 Total. Lacrosse 1999, 2000, 2001

  • Final Four Appearances: 6 Total. Lacrosse 1999, 2000, 2001

  • 2002 James H. Kehoe Award Winner, University of Maryland: Senior female athlete symbolizing the commitment, dedication, spirit and will to win. 
  • 2nd Assistant Coach, Field Hockey, Georgetown University (2002 Season).
