Chris VanderVat

Chris VanderVat brings a well-rounded coaching background and a passion for developing young athletes. A former three-sport athlete at Mount Hebron High School, Chris continued his education at Towson University and now teaches 3rd grade at Phelps Luck Elementary School.

He currently serves as the JV Girls’ Lacrosse Coach at Mount Hebron, a position he’s held for the past two years, and was recently named Head Coach of the Girls’ Varsity Basketball team. With experience coaching across multiple sports and age levels, Chris offers valuable leadership and insight—especially in both offensive strategy and defensive coordination, drawing from his background as a point guard.
